The Show
An Emmy Award-winning TV Show that celebrates Great Lakes food.... festivals and farm familiesAbout "Fork in the Road"
"Fork in the Road" is a 30 minute, weekly TV program. The program is fast-paced and features Eric Villegas, a host who genuinely loves what he does and is enthusiastic about Michigan foods. Eric uses these unique foods in his upscale Michigan restaurant everyday and explores the "Great Lake State" in
search of unusual foods or unusual ways of preparing more common foods.Eric loves natural, organic, and wholesome foods from Michigan and is always on the lookout for great food sources to share with his friends and viewers. The program is produced "on location" in Eric's restaurant and across the state (yes, that includes the Upper Peninsula!).
Each of the weekly shows will take the viewer to a different part of the state. A blueberry farm near Holland, a buffalo ranch in the Upper Peninsula and Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island for a behind the scenes tour of the kitchens are just a few of the places "Fork in the Road" traveled to during the first four seasons. Eric also visits the state's great agricultural regions and learns from growers how rich the state's diverse agricultural production is. In addition to "on-location" food features there are travel features throughout the region with kitchen tips and lifestyle features. "Fork in the Road" is a food show that celebrates the magical mitten, the great state of Michigan and its fabulous foods. The show has recipes, menus, cooking tips, visits to great places with interesting people and of course great food. It is so much more than just a cooking show - that's why we call it a food celebration.
