This week on Fork in the Road with Eric Villegas its all about a new fruit to come to Michigan, the Balaton Cherry. Eric will visit with the lady that brought this interesting fruit to our shores and then talk to researchers and sellers about this unique cherry. Eric will take you into the kitchen to make a Cherry Mojo with this great fruit treat .

    Do you have any information about a wider release of Balaton in the next couple of years. West Michigan doesn't have a Whole Foods, or really and decent places to buy MI products except directly from the blueberry farms. I was even up in TC and couldn't get fresh Balaton!

    For years we planned our trips home to Hungary around sour cherry picking time. Hungarian sour cherries are the BEST!!!
