Eric Villegas of Restaurant Villegas in Okemos is a champion of Michigan-grown foods and products. Villegas' "A Fork In The Road" cooking show began last fall and was shown only in the East Lansing area. Now the show can be seen statewide on select PBS stations. It airs at 4:30 p.m. Saturdays on Detroit's WTVS-TV (Channel 56). On the show, Villegas forages for locally grown produce and products that showcase the state's bounty, from mushrooms to asparagus.
"It's amazing finding all these growers that base their livelihood on the outcome of Michigan weather," says Villegas. "They are totally consumed with what they do."

Help! A friend has been drafted to put together a "Michigan" themed wedding reception for her niece, featuring Michigan foods and wines.
Can you send me a recommended wine list, emphasizing what they wines are compatible with and pricing? The bride wants award winning, her mother wants under $20/bottle. The bride and family are living in California and returning to Michigan for the nuptuals in the U.P.
I was so pleased to meet Eric at the Ann Arbor farmers' market a few weeks ago. Thanks for the great food and enthusiasm.

I saw your program on Saturday, April 12. You did the asparagus guacamole. I didn't get the recipe and would like to have it. Thank you.

I've spent 30 min. this morning trying to find the recipe for the asparagus dip or salsa that was prepared. No luck! How do I find it or can you e-mail it to me?
Thank you
